Enhanced production of 99Mo in inverse kinematics heavy ion reactions
نویسندگان
چکیده
The reaction of a 100 Mo beam at 12 MeV/nucleon impinging on 4 He gas-cell target was performed. 99 alongside other coproduced isotopes were collected after the gas an aluminum catcher foil and their respective radioactivities measured by offline γ -ray analysis. In this contribution, preliminary experimental results which are used to discuss possibility optimal large-scale production conditions produced radioisotopes presented.

Dilepton production in elementary and in heavy ion reactions
We present a unified description of the vector meson and dilepton production in elementary and in heavy ion reactions. The production of vector mesons (ρ, ω, φ) is described via the excitation of nucleon resonances (R). The theoretical framework is an extended vector meson dominance model (eVMD) for resonance decays R 7−→ NV with arbitrary spin which is covariant and kinematically complete. The...
متن کاملStrangeness production in heavy ion reactions at intermediate energies
Kaon production, in particular K production in heavy ion collisions at intermediate energies is discussed. Main emphasis is put on the question if subthreshold K production can serve as a suitable tool to test the high density phase of such reactions and to deliver information on the high density behavior of the nuclear equation of state. It is shown that the K excitation function in heavy (Au ...
متن کاملReactions for Kaon Production in Heavy Ion Collisions
In a resonance model the reactions πN → Y K and π∆ → Y K are studied. For the reactions πN → ΛK and π∆ → ΛK, the resonances N(1650)(J = 1 2 − ), N(1710)(12 + ) and N(1720)( 2 + ) are included as intermediate states. For the reactions πN → ΣK , the resonances N(1710)(12 + ), N(1720)( 2 + ) and ∆(1920)( 2 + ) are considered, while for the π∆ → ΣK reactions the intermediate resonances are N(1710)(...
متن کاملKaon production in heavy ion reactions at intermediate energies
The article reviews the physics related to kaon and antikaon production in heavy ion reactions at intermediate energies. Chiral dynamics predicts substantial modifications of the kaon properties in a dense nuclear environment. The status of the theoretical predictions as well as experimental evidences for medium effects such as repulsive/attractive mass shifts for K+/K− are reviewed. In the vic...
متن کاملAbrasion-Ablation Model for Neutron Production in Heavy Ion Reactions
In heavy ion reactions, neutron production at forward angles is observed to occur with a Gaussian shape that is centered near the beam energy and extends to energies well above that of the beam. This paper presents an abrasion-ablation model for making quantitative predictions of the neutron spectrum. To describe neutrons produced from the abrasion step of the reaction where the projectile and ...
